JARGON, SLANG AND ARGOT

Although it can be confusing to distinguish between jargon, argot and slang actually they are quite different from each other as I will explain now:

Jargon:

Jargon is the  terminology  used by persons from a specific activity, profession, group, or event. like for example the voabulary used by medics or lawyers; also words like RAM or GB wich are abbreviations in this case used by people who works with computers.

Argot:

An Argot  is a secret language used by various groups to prevent outsiders from understanding their conversations. The term argot is also used to refer to the informal specialized vocabulary from a particular field of study, hobby, job, sport, etc. Basicly Argots are mainly versions of other languages with a part of its vocabulary replaced by words unknown to the larger public.

Slang:

Slang is the use of informal words and expressions that are not considered standard in the speaker's language or dialect but are considered more acceptable when used socially. For example a conversation between two friend has slang, but for example it is not well seen when someone use slang in business or work.
